Events Fleishman-Hillard named European Consultancy of the Year

For the first time, Fleishman-Hillard has been named European Consultancy of the Year by The Holmes Report. The PR Industry newsletter, which made its decision based on the results of last year’s performance, cited business, income, clients, capabilities, geography, staff and leadership as just a few of the hallmarks that helped put the agency in first place. In his Annual Report Card, chief editor Paul Holmes writes: “No firm has improved its capabilities as dramatically as Fleishman-Hillard.”
Fleishman-Hillard Celebrates Double Success at PRCA Awards
Pictured are (l to r) Nicola Meyer, Neal Cummins and Amy Pilgrim Fleishman-Hillard was the only company to win two awards at the annual PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association) Awards, held at the Conrad Hotel on Friday 26th June. The company picked up the ‘Consumer Public Relations – Healthcare PR’ award for the ‘Tell Her, Tell All’ campaign on behalf of Sanofi Pasteur MSD, and the award for ‘Consumer Public Relations – Product or service launch less than €30,000’ for its work on the Carlton Hotel’s sponsorship of the Rose of Tralee Festival 2008, maintaining its record of having won more industry awards than any of its competitors. ‘Tell Her,’ a cervical cancer awareness campaign carried out on behalf of Sanofi Pasteur MSD, achieved an awards Grand Slam, having won every industry award for which it had been submitted. As well as the PRCA award, the campaign has been awarded a Pan-European SABRE (Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation) Award, an IPRA (International Public Relations Association) Golden World Award and an Irish Healthcare Award. This latest award also added to the successful record of Fleishman-Hillard’s Health team at the PRCA’s, which has won the ‘Consumer Public Relations- Healthcare PR’ award four out of the last five years. Fleishman-Hillard’s campaign for the Carlton Hotel Group’s sponsorship of the Rose of Tralee Festival was named the clear winner by the judges in the hotly contested ‘Consumer Public Relations – Product or service launch less than €30,000’ category. The quirky campaign, which saw over 300 ladies named ‘Rose’ enjoy free hotel stays, was chosen due to its outstanding results, which saw the campaign drive significant awareness and sales for the hotel chain. The project was also named ‘Best Tourism PR Campaign’ at the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Awards earlier this year. Fleishman-Hillard has won a record 24 PRCA awards, including the Supreme Award for Excellence in 2000 and 2004.
David Byrne Joins Fleishman-Hillard's International Advisory Board

David served as European commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection at the European Union in Brussels from 1999 to 2004 and has also served as a special envoy to the World Health Organization in Geneva, as a member of the International Court of Arbitration in Paris, and as attorney general of Ireland.
Fleishman-Flyers Help the Willow Wheelers break the €1 Million Mark for Charity
Pictured are (l to r) Andrew Smyth, Christie Mc Daid from the Willow Wheelers Cycling Club , On Sunday 4th May 2008 the Fleishman-Flyers cycling team - Andrew Smyth, Amy Pilgrim and Neal Cummins joined the Willow Wheelers cycling club for its annual 100 mile cycle. This year's race was extra special as the club was aiming towards bringing the total amount of money raised by the event for charities in Africa and Brazil since the first event in 1991 to over €1 million. The money raised over the years has been used to support the building of schools, hospitals, water holes and the purchase of vital medicine for projects in Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana and Brazil. Congratulations to all involved! John Saunders Awarded Life Fellowship of the PRII On Thursday 6th December 2007 the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) awarded John Saunders with a Life Fellowship at the Institute's Christmas lunch . John received the Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding service to the practice of Public Relations.
Special Olympics World Games 2007 The 2007 Special Olympics World Games took place in Shanghai in October 2007. FH Dublin has had a long relationship with Special Olympics Ireland and was very much involved in bringing the World Games to Dublin in 2003. As a follow-up to this involvement, Kate Candon was chosen to represent Fleishman-Hillard as a volunteer at the 2007 event and travelled to Shanghai to work in the Irish press office for the duration of the Games. Kate was one of 200 Irish volunteers and she experienced the spectacular Opening and Closing ceremonies, the myriad of events won by Irish and European athletes and even got to meet Irish actor Colin Farrell, who travelled to Shanghai to lend his support to the Irish team. Rhona Blake Receives John D. Graham Award for Excellence In May 2007 Rhona Blake was awarded the company’s highest honour, the John. D. Graham Award for Excellence. Established in 1991, each year the award is presented to recipients for their exemplary service to clients, personal commitment to the company's values, and their ability to inspire and lead a winning team.
