CARL GIBNEY
SENIOR CLIENT MANAGER

Carl Gibney joined Fleishman-Hillard in 2007 after almost a decade working at the heart of Government. He served as a Press Officer in Dáil Éireann with Fianna Fáil (1998-2000), during which time his core responsibilities included media relations, speech-writing and event management.

Carl was Senior Assistant to Minister Mary Hanafin T.D. at the Department of Health and Children (2000-2002), Department of the Taoiseach (2002-2004) and the Department of Education and Science (2004-2007). Carl was Special Advisor to Minister Hanafin in her capacity as Government Chief Whip and Minister of State with Responsibility for the Information Society (2002-2004).

Prior to working in the political sphere, Carl was Sub-Editor with Irish Medical News. He holds an honours B.A. in Journalism from Dublin City University, as well as Diplomas in Addiction Studies and Web Design from Dublin Business School.
