ORLA BURKE

Orla Burke joined Fleishman-Hillard Dublin in 2002 to set up a healthcare practice for the firm. Currently she is a Director of the firm and global co-chair of the health practice.

Orla has spent her career specialising in healthcare public relations with a strong focus on pharmaceutical brands. She has developed and implemented strategic corporate reputation, and consumer education programmes for a wide range of healthcare clients in the FMCG, advocacy, pharmaceutical, corporate and food sectors.

Orla has developed integrated communications programmes for pharmaceutical brands through all phases of the product lifecycle by forging relationships with key opinion leaders and advocacy groups, spearheading global communications efforts, launching products with creative platforms, keeping aging brands relevant and counselling clients through corporate issues and crises situations.

Before joining Fleishman-Hillard, Orla worked at Edelman and Wilson Hartnell Public Relations in Ireland.

Orla graduated from University College Dublin with a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc (Agric) Food Science. She has also completed the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) Diploma in Public Relations and is a member of both the PRII and the Marketing Institute of Ireland. Orla sits on the PRII National Council.
